Transition in Small Doses 🪔 🤔🚉

Big life transitions can seemingly roll up on you overnight. Discerning between what is GOD and what is life can get muffled in all the noise. But God is the God who leads us every step of the way.

Psalm 119:105 says, “Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a lamp to my path.”

That must mean we are walking through the dark. Dark can simply mean “unknown”. His word lights the path little by little.

In Exodus 13:17-18 it says, “When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, ‘Lest the people change their minds when they see war and return to Egypt.‘So God let the people around by the way of the wilderness toward the Red Sea.”

God knew that if he took them the quick route they would not be ready for what they would encounter.

I believe transition can seem sudden if we remain unaware of the way GOD works. And life can get so scary that if we live in the moment only, then our current circumstances can determine what we do and where we go next. But if we pause and reflect we’d have the ability to see where we are coming from and where we are headed. At the least, it will lead us into a place of TRUST because He’s trustworthy.

When I reflect back I see that GOD was leading me into transition in small doses. He’s been prepping my heart for years. Suddenly, all the dots just begin to connect like breadcrumbs leading to my prize. I conclude I am standing in a long thought out story and the LORD is the masterful author.

Now we say “Yes.”

“Speak Lord, your servant is listening.”
